Bonding with grandchildren

This is a neat idea that a neighbor gave me. When her first grandson was born, she bought a scrapbook.  She waited until he was older so he could “help” design and decorate the cover.  She wanted the cover to reflect his life. He drew cars, trucks, and pictures of his trip to Disneyland.
When my neighbor had her grandson for sleep overs, she would take pictures of him or do artwork together. The pictures and artwork were recorded, mounted, and dated. This was one of the graduation gifts she gave him when he graduated from college.
My neighbor made memory scrap books with all five of her grandchildren, and she says it was their favorite gift from her.
