Here is a refreshing afternoon snack, especially when it is a hot summer’s day. This recipe came from Woman’s World, 2017 You will need: ¼ cup sugar 4 cups diced seedless watermelon 1cup fresh or frozen raspberries 1 lime (zested and juiced) Directions: In a small saucepan, mix sugar and ¼ cup water. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, constantly stirring. Cook 1 to 2 min. more or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. In a blender or food processor, puree watermelon, raspberries, 1 Tab. Lime juice, 1 tsp. lime zest and sugar syrup. Mix until smooth ( I like to strain the mixture through a sieve, but you don’t have to do that). Pour mixture into a 9”x5” metal loaf pan. Freeze, for about 2 hours. Stir with a fork and freeze for another 2 hours. Stir with a fork before serving. Very cooling and refreshing!

It’s Heat Rash time!
Heat rashes are uncomfortable and ugly. Those of us with sensitive skin need to know how to handle this situation. Here is a quick and natural cure, that works for me. Mix 1 tsp. of baking soda and I cup of very cold water. Apply on red areas and let dry. Use a clean, dry and non-irritating cloth. Do this 2-4 times a day until the rash disappears. A dermatologist gave this “recipe” to my mother many years ago. Hope you find this helpful.
